WHALE IRON

Through observation in nature, the body and the base of the iron are designed according to two natural creatures with opposite volumes and living environments. The body is inspired by whale, the biggest living creature, while the base is shaped as a light boat. The concept combines two creatures with opposite scales, which forms an abnormal visual appearance to challenge the stereotype in visual habits.

通过对自然界生物进行观察，我们将熨斗的本体和底座分别设计为两种比例迥异的物体形态。熨斗本体模仿世界上现存最大的动物-蓝鲸，但底座却化身一叶轻舟。这其中的概念在于突破人们对日常事物在尺度上的常规感受，将两种反差巨大却看似有所i联系的物体进行组合，制造看似荒诞的视觉体验，也是对经验观察的一次“反叛”。
